Circulation Specialist

This position supervises the Benson Latin American Collection in the absence of the Branch supervisor, and provides technical services support for the library.

User Experience Strategist

The University of Texas Libraries User Experience Strategist is a key member of the Assessment & User Experience team, focused on integrating user needs and experiences in all aspects of the UT Libraries’ current and future online presence and services. The person in this position will act as the Product Owner of the Libraries website, providing strategy and oversight for its content and functionality.

Resident Librarian

The UT Libraries is pleased to offer two positions in our three-year residency program for early career librarians and archivists. We seek prospective applicants looking to deepen their experience in the field of academic libraries and/or archives. The residency program will provide specialized training, continuing education, and mentorship based on the resident's professional interests and goals. Our program is based on a rotational model driven by the individual resident’s professional development goals. UT Libraries is a large organization and offers a wide variety of areas of specialization for rotations. The range of work experience gained through this position will enable the residents to build essential skills in the field of libraries and/or archives. The residents will receive dedicated professional development funds to support conference attendance. The residents serve as valued colleagues in the organization and will enrich UT Libraries by bringing in new ideas and perspectives, and contribute to strategic initiatives through project work. Liaison Librarian for Earth Sciences

The University of Texas Libraries (UTL) seeks a librarian to join its active and evolving liaison program. The Liaison Librarian for Earth Sciences will be responsible coordinating library engagement, research, and learning services for a geographically distributed community, including the Jackson School of Geosciences and its Bureau of Economic Geology and Institute for Geophysics; the Department of Geography; and the Department of Marine Science and its Marine Science Institute, which is in Port Aransas, Texas. The position reports to the STEM & Social Sciences Engagement Team Lead; as an active member of that team, they will collaborate with colleagues to programmatically leverage our expertise, resources, and relationships to advance student success and deepen research collaborations between UTL and our campus community. This position will work from our main campus in Austin and is not responsible for day-to-day operations of branches or the supervision of branch staff.
